  • Some + uncountable/plural countable nouns

    • Is used in affirmative sentences and in questions when we

    offer something or ask for something politely

    "There is some oranege juice un the refregarator"

    "Would you like some chips?"

  • Any + uncountable / Plural countable nouns

    • Is used in negative and question sentences

    "Is there any orange juice in the refrigerator?"

    "There aren'any chips on the table"

  • No (=not any) + uncountable/plural countable nouns

    • Is used in affirmative sentences to give a negative meaning

    "There is no chese in the refrigerator= There isn't

    any chese in the refrigerator"
